About me
Suzanne has been teaching mathematics at LC State since 2012, and her approach to teaching has evolved significantly over the years. When she began working with future teachers in 2017, it changed how she thought about math education entirely. She started focusing much more on helping students reason through problems and make sense of concepts, rather than just memorizing procedures without understanding why they work. That shift led her down a path of reading research, attending and facilitating professional development workshops, and constantly learning new ways to help students succeed. What she discovered is that everyone can learn math when we approach it as exploration and problem-solving rather than just rule-following.
