About me
I am a veteran science educator with over 25 years of experience teaching middle and high school science, including dual-credit biology and environmental science. I specialize in field-based science instruction that connects students to authentic research and environmental stewardship. I integrate ornithology, ecology, and citizen science into my teaching to give my students opportunities to contribute to real scientific studies. I currently serve on the board of the Idaho Science Teachers Association and am a past member of the Idaho Environmental Science Teachers Association and was recognized as Environmental Science Teacher of the Year for my work advancing hands-on science education.
