About me
April Taylor holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Idaho, where she gained a deep understanding of educational theories, and pedagogical practices while focusing on developing students’ reasoning through mathematical discourse. She has gained extensive experience in various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, school and district-level committee member, Idaho Council of Teachers of Mathematics board member, and adjunct professor. She has worked with students and adults within all levels of school systems across Idaho. As a lifelong learner and dedicated advocate for mathematics education, April Taylor is committed to creating environments empowering students to recognize the value of their mathematical reasoning and understanding. She advocates for system structures to create environments allowing for meaningful engagement with mathematical practices and content for educators and student learners.
